U.S. Citizens Tourist Travel
U.S. citizens traveling to Peru for tourism typically do not need a visa for short stays. Travelers should make sure their passport is valid and review the latest Peru travel guidance before departure.

Indian Citizens Traveling from India or Elsewhere
Indian passport holders may need a tourist visa for Peru unless they qualify for an exemption. The safest approach is to check the official Peru consular guidance early and apply well in advance if needed.
- A tourist visa may be required depending on your situation.
- The Peruvian Embassy in India notes typical processing of about 7–10 working days after the personal interview.
- Your passport should generally be valid for at least 6 months.
Indian Citizens With US, UK, Or Australian Visa Important Exemption Info
Some Indian citizens may be able to enter Peru without a separate Peruvian visa if they hold a valid visa with 6 months of validity at the time of entry.
- A valid US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia or Schengen visa qualifies you for Peru visa exemption.
- The visa needs at least 6 months of validity at the time of entry.
- This still applies even if the U.S. visa has not yet been used.
- Please verify your exact case with the nearest Peruvian consulate before booking.
